When gambling was legalized in Atlantic City tourist attractions, the City started out with only one casino. It was the hope of New Jersey legislators that the new casino would bring in more revenue for the state and give the economy a boost, since the economy wasn’t in the best state at the time. They couldn’t have been more right.
